Forest Creatures

I imagined a couple of creatures that would live in this post-apocaliptic environment. Since traditional fuels are no longer available and the world population was reduced drastically, the wild life had an oportunity to evolve without restrictions.

These forest creatures are mainly large, since they could profit from the florishing surroundings.

In  this piece we have the following:
Lagarllo: it can be foud from the size of a horse to the size of an elephant. they are omnivorous, and can eat fish as well as insects and plants. The human population in occations tame these creatures and use them as mount. They can be found in dense forests and jungles.
Ballerro: these are very friendly creatures that live in the shores. They eat small fish and crustaceans. whenever there is a human gathering, these curious creatures are the first to appear. They are a great companion for fishing villages.
Picador común: These strange creatures live in the same environments as the Lagarllo. They are the sithe of a cat, and very unfriendly. They are rarely seen by humans. They eat mostly insects and sometimes fruits. Their peack allows them to reach the inner part of fallen logs, and feed from them.

Merchants

These are my five merchants of this post-apocalyptic world I am working on right now. I divided them into Urban and Rural.

The first two merchants live in over-populated cities, they are forced to wear a mask in order to survive, because the air is almost unbreathable. One of them is a collector of anything that appears in his way, and the other one is a smuggler from the factory area.

The other three merchants are from the wild areas. The forest one collects herbs and mushrooms with particular qualities. The second one lives in the shore, he mostly fishes. However, he is the most affected one by radiation and water pollution.

the mountain merchant is the biggest of all, since he needs physical strength to survive the ultra cold weather. There is not much pollution in the mountains, but the climate change made it impossible to have temperatures above -10°C

Trijodonte

This creature is part of a series of animals I thoght as part of a futuristic world, or post-apocaliptic one, where there is no oil to fuel any kind of vehicles and humans are to rely on more traditional means of transportation. I want to show different adaptations of current animals that serve some purpose in this futuristic world.

The trijodonte would be the combination of a bull and a camel. This is a very large creature, used as a pack animal by humans.

These animals are very resistant to high temperatures, and can survive without water for two weeks, since they conserve liquid in their humps.

(Post) Apocalipse - Monsters

For the following images I imagined a post-apocaliptic world where pollution and radiation invaded the core of Human Civilization, affecting not only the environment, but also the livings as well.

These monsters shown here belong to the genetically engineered "humans" that were to be the cure to all the environmental disasters with the super-proteins and ultra-resistant genes. However, the tests were performed in unsafe nuclear-laboratories, producing as a result a mutation in the specimens, and therefore these monstruosities.

This new species managed to survive hiding in old buildings, waiting for wonderers to come too close to their lands.

They are almost three metres tall, with deformed extremities. The male, for example, has arms that reach the ground, which permits him to run balancing his weight.

I hope you like this series I will be uploading, thank you for watching!

The giant rises

This image is a continuation of the previous one, that you can check in the following link: http://delfinacampo-conceptart.blogspot.com.ar/2013/11/forgotten-giant.html

This would be the scene where the giant is liberated from his chains and finally rises

Ñanphant

This is another scanned drawing, I thought of doing a creature that has some similarity to previous ones (Tóralo and Reniervo), they would form part of the same world.

This Ñanphant would be a large creature of 3 mts tall, with very strong legs that allows it to run really fast. Since it has puffy hair that protects its neck and chest, it would live in a rather cold environment.

I may do a scene with the three creatures, probably in some market where they are being exchanged for treasuers of other countries...

Tribal Character

Hi! The tribal character has won the previous contest, so here I have made a Concept Sheet with more details.

This character is a serious Commander, and leads a group of very well trained tribals, who prefer to keep their identities protected from the common people. No civilian has seen his face without cover.
The spear he uses is a symbol of his status, and is hand-made. On the other hand, the knives and swords hanging from his belt were taken from his enemies.

The skulls he wears on his showlders are from exotic creatures they have captured during their missions.

Commanders

We haven't seen some characters for a while, so I will do a series of characters with specific restrictions. Here we have our first set, "Commanders". The restrictions I considered are: Tribal/Medieval (not modern), covered shoulders, and high rank!

So for this entry, let me know which one is the one you would like developed in a Concept sheet, with detail of poses, weapons and costume! You can leave a comment here or in the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Delfinacampoart

Conquerator

A Character Design, this is Conqueraton an hoplite mercenary!

Character Design

These characters were designed for a project in school, together with the Game Design course. There were two main characters in the story, an evil, short, super-intelligent alien, who manipulated the native ones making them believe theywere gods. The other character, the good one, is a subterranean creature, strong and humple, but at the same time intelligent enough to build communities and a society.

These now are from another project... These creatures were designed taking as reference some Z-Brush models we created in class, then they were painted over in photoshop

No special software used for this one, just PS
